1rst trip: Meteora

Monasteries «hanging in the sky» and beautiful paths compose an enchanting scenery that everyone must see. This almost “unearthly state” with monasteries that clambered on the edge of impressive steep mountainous masses, challenge you to discover the majesty of nature. Meteora is part of the World Heritage sites of UNESCO. These monasteries have been here since the 11th century and previous means of assent included ropes and ladders have been replaced by stairs.

• Depart Thessaloniki in the morning and journey to the amazing monasteries’ complex of Meteora to visit 3 or 4 of the 6 holy monasteries, depending on their operating schedule. Enjoy a traditional Greek lunch in Kastraki. In the Vilage of Kastraki, in Kalampaka area for lunch-break against the magnificent view of Meteora.
